Unlike anything we’ve ever released before, gin aficionados and collectors alike will want to get their hands on this distinctive new expression which pays homage to the whisky heritage of our home at Balmenach Distillery in the Scottish Highlands.
To create Cask Aged, we combined the five-hand foraged Celtic botanicals found within a ten-minute radius of our distillery with six traditional botanicals. These botanicals were infused to perfection in the world’s only working Copper Berry Chamber to make our perfectly balanced gin before being filled into hand-selected Spanish oak casks and gently rested at Balmenach distillery under the watchful eye of our Distillery Manager, Kevin MacPherson. It’s genius really!
Cask Aged offers unique notes of bright citrus and vanilla pods which perfectly complement our core gin botanicals. The use of Spanish oak butts adds a bright golden colour to the gin and a more luxurious mouthfeel. Bottled at an ABV of 56%, Cask Aged lends itself to bold flavours of peppery botanicals, delicate oak, sweet spices and candied citrus peel with an enveloping spiced toffee note.

Cask Aged is smooth enough to be sipped neat or can add depth to a variety of cocktails. Alternatively, replace your ‘go to’ gin pairing with Ginger Ale for that truly indulgent perfect serve. However you plan to enjoy it, savour it.
