The festive season is the most wonderful time of the year, and we love nothing more than cosying up by the fire with our loved ones and enjoying a delicious G&T as we watch our favourite Christmas movie. But this year, why not shake things up?

Put down the eggnog and turn your hand to recreating some of our festive sips that are sure to impress your guests over the holidays.

Mince Pie Royal

Combining refreshing apple juice, homemade mince pie syrup and fizzing champagne with the invigorating flavours of Caorunn, this festive tipple is the perfect aperitif to enjoy on Christmas day.

Mince Pie Royal CocktailIngredients:

  • 20ml Caorunn Classic Gin
  • 25ml Apple juice
  • 15ml Mince pie syrup*
  • 50ml Champagne
  • Apple slices

Method:

Add the Caorunn Gin, apple juice and mince pie syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled flute glass. Top up with champagne and garnish with a apple slices.

*Mince Pie Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 200g Water
  • 200g Caster sugar
  • 100g Mince pie meat (mixture of chopped red apples, raisins, dark brown sugar, and spices)

 Method:

Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring it to boil. Reduce the temperature and simmer for about 30 minutes. Filter the liquid over a fine sieve, bottle and refrigerate.

Caorunn Apple Toddy

This warming cocktail is the perfect alternative to mulled wine to keep you warm over the winter months. 

Mince Pie Royal

Ingredients:

  • 40ml Caorunn Classic Gin
  • 30ml Apple cider
  • 20ml Grand Marnier
  • Orange zest
  • 1tsp Ground cloves

Method:

Heat up the apple cider in a small saucepan. Pour the Caorunn Gin and Grand Marnier into a heat-resistant glass. Fill with hot apple cider and stir well. Garnish with orange zest and ground cloves. Serve and enjoy!
